KIRK DOUGLAS
Kirk Douglas was one of the best actors in Hollywood, he was born on December 9, 1916 in New York. His parents were Russian immigrants of the Jewish religion. From a young age he began working to pay his enrolment at St. Lawrence University.
Kirk signed a contract with Hal Wallis and debuted in the movie "The Strange Love Of Martha Ivers" in 1946, later in the late 1940s he appeared in the movie "Back to Life". Thanks to the films “ The idol of the mud”, “Captives of evil” and “The madman with red hair”, he was nominated for an Oscar for best actor. In 1960 he starred in the movie “Spartacus”.
Kirk decided to try his luck as a director and starred in the movie "Los Justicieros Del Oeste" His last motion picture was "Illusion" in 2004 and his last acting movie was "The Empire State Murders" in 2008.
The Hollywood Academy awarded him a deserved honorary Oscar for his entire career in 1995. Her son Michael Douglas is also an actor and producer. Kirk died on February 5, 2020 at age 103.
